The world, as we know it, is approaching the end. A religious war has exploded at a global scale and has cost the lives of more than a billion people, and now, the aftermath is killing the rest at a slow pace, with a secret vengeance. In the frenzy to save the future, scientists concoct a desperate plan to regain control of our destiny in a top-secret lab. Patrick Jarborn is conceived there as the last hope to reverse the sentence and give humanity a second chance. Still, the plan is interrupted when the infection catches up, forcing his au pair Gloria to act on his behalf and secure his safety.
